we are a group of 8 retired teachers who meet monthly, at a variety of restaurants, for lunch. today, we unfortunately chose to eat at cafe del mondo. their idea of a prix fixe menu just includes soup or salad and an entree - every other establishment we have dined at that had a fixed lunch menu included at least the beverage too - ok, our fault for not checking thoroughly.
the entrees arrived warm, not hot. one of our party had to return her dish because she couldn't cut it with her knife. when the elder of our group inquired about dessert the response she received was absolutely RUDE - "read the menu". service was poor - only one waiter in addition to what i assume was the manager. we all ordered coffee and not once did anyone come around to ask if we would like a refill. the gratuity that was added on exceded 20% of the bill, before tax. needless to say, we will NOT be coming back, nor will we be recommending this restaurant to anyone. if i could i would give this zero stars - the one star is for the garlic bread that was placed on the table.

Was there for a 40th reunion recently and the food was really good! Service was fine and had a great time. Would definitely return for dinner.

when with two other couples, we all didn't like the food and service, and on top of the disatafication, we saw a ROACH crawling up the wall. We brought it to the waiters attention, he handle it like it was no big deal,

Went there couple weeks ago, my chicken was to thick, my husband veal was tuff, prices was ok, but food thumbs down.
