I have been living in SI for the past 2 and 1/2 years...We had China Star Saturday night...of all the places I have tried in S I China Star is the best! Fresh Hot, very delicious!!!!! Highly recommended!!!!! ********** I give China Star 10 stars!

Food was terrible, not the same restaurant anymore. Foil chicken was disgusting, ribs were raw, soup smelled like muddy water. NEVER AGAIN!!! CLOSE THIS PLACE UP!

I always go to China New Star when I am in New York. They still offer the best tasting and reasonably priced Chinese food on the Island. Many Chinese places on Staten Island are fast food. China New Star is old style just as I remember as a kid...Friendly staff and although the place could use some sprucing up it still has great food...Here is a little hint...Taste the mustard. If your eyes pop out of your head then the food will be excellent. Try this in Chinese Restaurants and see what I mean...I live in N. California and went to a Chinese Restaurant here and ordered dinner. Egg drop soup is like water, egg rolls were the size of my finger, etc....So NY, enjoy eating out because nothing compares to N.Y. Chinese food.

Their food is always delicious. the delivery is so fast. i`ve never eaten in the restaurant itself but I`ve taken out and the decor is a little outdated but that would be my only qualm. The food and the service make it great.
