Nakta is one of the better Half-Price sushi places, the best rolls of course come from the Chef Specialties and are also buy 2 get one for free, good for 2 people and the quality, service and atmosphere is top notch casual, very comfortable environment and pleasant servers.

They use to have great service and food
Lately their food has no flavor notice
Hair in my white rice. Would not recommend.

Went there about 2-3 days ago around 6pm and the service was horrible and there was hair the curly kind in my food that was pretty disgusting will not eat there again

The quality and freshness of all rolls are impeccable. Nakata is truly one of those restaurants on Staten Island that surpasses all standards used to. Price is unbeatable, service is pleasant and the food is delicious.

I've introduced several of my friends to Nakata and we all love it. The wait staff is always incredibly friendly, the food comes out quickly and it's delicious. Best of all, you can't beat that price! I love Nakata!

pricing pricing pricing....GREAT sushi at affordable price...we go there all the time and the kids loooovvvveee it. Their chicken tempura is amazing so is the crispy spicy tuna. Too bad not alot of people know about this place.

My boyfriend and I frequently go to Nakata. When we walk in the door we are greeted immediately. Nakata has a warm family atmosphere. We always order what Toro recommends for us because he picks the best dishes for us! The food is always excellent, fresh, delicious and is the best priced Japanese restaurant! The place is extremely clean. It is a well run family restaurant that we would recommend to anyone!

My boyfriend and I enjoy dinner sometimes more then once a week at this location. The service is great the owner n waiters are friendly and the service is always quick. The food is great everything taste fresh and delicious every time we go there.

Thank god I found this place, they have the best sushi anywhere around here and have great fast service, always comes with utensils, napkins and everything you could want. Also the manager Lee is very pleasant and makes us feel at home when coming to dine here.

Really love their sushi so much. They were the first to offer their half-price sushi, but they always kept up on their quality. All the sushi taste fresh all the time, specialty rolls are amazing and come with great sauces, 3 Specialty rolls for a couple and it will more than fill you up. Delivery service is great, always comes with utensils and napkins.
Only thing annoys me is that they still send me their menu every time I order! I never get the point of that, if I am ordering that probably means I have the menu? Especially after discovering whereyoueat!!

I ate at Nakata Sushi last night and I do not think I would go back there again. Here are a list of the reasons why I wouldn't go back their again.
• The soy sauce is watered down. Hard to believe, but it had a weird consistency and looked extremely light while pouring.
• The spicy Mayo tasted like 1000 Island dressing with a bit of a kick. It was weird because normally spicy mayo has a thicker Mayo-like consistency and theirs was more like a salad dressing.
• Our rolls fell apart (rolled loosely)
• The Miso soup had crunchy seaweed in it. It was like they didn’t cook it lol.
• The prices are great, but it wasn’t the best quality sushi I’ve had. If you’re looking for discounted sushi on Staten Island, try *******. It has great prices, better quality rolls, and overall better Sushi, Sashimi and Salads (try the Salmon Skin Salad, it rocks)
I hope this review helped. Like I said before, I will return to ******* for my everyday sushi needs, but for fancier sushi restaurants I enjoy **** (Eltingville) or **** (Eltingville) or **** ******* (New Dorp). Out of those three I like **** the best.

I have been to the place 4 times in the last month: excellent food, relaxed atmosphere, and the check was within $25 per couple (2 soups, salad, appetizer, 3-4 rolls).
Last Friday night the place was packed. I had to wait for a few minutes for a booth at 8 p.m.
The staff is friendly and entertaining. I like the choice of music and simple but cozy décor. I have recommended Nakata to all my friends who go to nearby Japanese restaurants for double the price. Nobody can beat the Nakata prices which matters when you take your whole family out.

Really good sushi! I used to order from Fuji Sushi before I found out about Nakata's Half-Price Sushi and Sashimi and house specialty rolls specials. The price came out fair, I know they did not start or create the 'Half-Price Sushi' deal, but they sure know how to follow it and perfect it.
Also try the Beef Negimaki, they were very good!

great place! you don't have to spend $100 for 2 people to have a great service, presentation of your food and flavor of everything you eat, my husband and i ordered 3 different types of sushi, sashimi and a king crab salad. I can't think of anything bad about this place, definitely will be my top pick when it comes to Japanese cuisine!! can't wait to go there again!

The sushi is always fresh and tastes great. No where on SI can you get such great tasting sushi for such a great price. The service is fast and friendly. Highly recommend.

Since this place went under new management, the quality, service and friendliness of the staff has went up overwelmingly. It is one of the best neighborhood sushi on Staten Island. The restaurant is not a club scene such as Fushimi, but if you are in the mood for sushi, give nakata a try, half-price is unbeatable. The taste is much more fresher than it was a few months ago with different owners.

This place is amazing!!! Two visits with completely different orders and I haven't been disappointed yet. All of the food is great, the atmosphere is nice (simple but comfortable), the service is fantastic (very polite staff), and the price is better than anything I've ever seen in the NY Metro area. This is a very well run, well kept restaurant and they deserve all the customers they can handle.
